Community Court Advocacy Program (CCAP)
GHPN strives to create a safe, community oriented space for community members who are currently impacted by the criminal justice system.
We strive to meet individuals where they are in life and help them navigate how to get where they want to be. We know that navigating the court systems and finding appropriate resources can be an overwhelming and shaming experience, so we strive to make the process easier for individuals with compassion and empathy.
In addition to providing direct service and assistance, CCAP involves ongoing engagement in advocacy campaigns for policy and programming changes, elevating the voices of justice-impacted individuals to highlight their needs or systemic barriers that prevent or present challenges for successful reentry, and partnering with stakeholders in the community to promote alternatives and creative solutions, such as through the Hudson City “Mental Health Court,” implemented by The Honorable Judge Cheryl Roberts in 2023.

Our staff consists of team members with lived and professional experiences that uniquely allow for us to support incarcerated and recently incarcerated folks through challenges that may be “gaps” for other service providers, with open minds. If you or a loved one has recently returned home from jail or prison, or is planning to be released in the near future, use the form to see how we may be able to provide support.
