Beyond GED

The Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood, Inc., in collaboration with Columbia-Greene Workforce Investment Office (WIO) is offering opportunity youth, between the ages of 16 and 24, GED classes.

As an organization, we recognize that traditional school does not work for all youth. In response to this, we have created a comprehensive program that not only meets educational needs, but also works to combat additional adverse experiences and stressors so that youth may focus on their studies.

Students enrolled in Beyond GED receive a paid stipend for the time they spend studying with a tutor provided by Columbia- Greene WIO. Further, we work to find job placement for students so they can further hone their skills in the workforce.

A large component of Beyond GED will also be several leadership development workshops that students attend, as well as a mentoring component by the staff at The Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood, Inc.

If you, or someone you know, is interested in enrolling in the program, please contact our offices.
